Creativity is the lifeblood of a creative director, it’s the spark that turns ideas into real-world experiences. I believe that when you approach problems from new perspectives, bring together diverse expertise, and collaborate effectively, any challenge can be solved creatively. I draw inspiration from all aspects of life and view creativity as a practical tool, one that helps teams think differently, move faster, and produce work that resonates and endures.
LEADERSHIP
To me, leadership is best demonstrated by actions. There’s no amount of books you can read that will completely prepare you for the hardships of business, it comes down to who you are as a person. I’ve been a leader of wonderfully talented people by listening more than talking, rolling up my sleeves, and giving encouragement in the face of adversity.
EMPATHY
Creating great solutions for others requires empathy and understanding the problem. You only know if it’s a good idea by knowing the problem first. There’s also empathy for the people around you, that’s what a team is. I’m always trying to become a more empathetic person so that I can be a better human, husband, and business leader.
Visuals
They say “an image speaks a thousand words”, my version is, “everyone speaks visuals”, because I’ve found simple doodles, quick screenshots, and simple shapes to be the most effective communication tools. I lean heavily on visuals vs words.
FUN
“If you love your job then it’s not work”. I believe in big personalities, laughter and genuine joy…at the office! Whoa
INNOVATION
Chronically curious from a young age, I’ve always sought out more information, more experience, more knowledge. I believe the content you consume plays a big role in your creativity and I’ve been able to deliver on the toughest of briefs, timelines and budgets by innovating the status quo.
